CORRECTION: Surveys not yet sent out

CORRECTION: The lead of the story "School board wants to measure 'school climate' with survey" originally said the surveys went out to school staff last week. The surveys are actually being sent out from the central office to each school today, according to the Board of Education.

CORRECTION: Charges incorrect

CORRECTION: An earlier version of the story "Convicted rapist arraigned on probation violation" said Moon was facing charges for statutory rape and sexual assault. Moon has already been convicted of those charges but appeared in court this week for charges that he violated his probation and failed to appear in court.

CORRECTION: Board of Education member misquoted

CORRECTION: A quote by Middletown Board of Education member Ed McKeon in the story "Middletown school board members dispute responsibility for $1 million budget shortfall" has been changed after McKeon contacted the Press and said he had been misquoted. The original quote said McKeon believed the city was responsible for the $1 million discrepancy. What he actually said was that the Board of Education is responsible and spent money it knew it didn't have.

CORRECTION: The East Hampton teacher who won the Ronald McDonald House Charities Local Heroes award is Allyson Singleton. Laura Phillips Ward is president of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts.
