Middlesex Community College has been approved to offer a new Veterinary Technology Associate's Degree program, beginning in the fall of 2012.  While MxCC intends to apply for program accreditation from the American Veterinary Medical Association, a recent press release from the college incorrectly stated the college had already secured this rigorous quality assessment.  At the time when the MxCC program becomes AVMA accredited, students then will qualify to sit for the Veterinary Technician National Examination.
