CORRECTION: The headline of the story "Weight Watchers opens in Cromwell" has been corrected to say "Weight Watchers" instead of "Wight Watchers."

CORRECTION: The name of the band Holmes Brothers has been corrected in the headline of the Blues Beat column published Jan. 26. It was misspelled "Homes Brothers."

East Hampton police originally reported that John R. Forbes IV, arrested on motor vehicle charges on Jan. 5, lives at 72 Skinner St. They have since issued a correction saying this is not his address. We have removed the address from the police blotter item mentioning Forbes on our website.

CORRECTION: The spelling of Bielefield Elementary School has been fixed in this follow-up story about "scream rooms" in Middletown.

The Middletown Press was among the news outlets that reported tonight that former Penn State football coach Joe Paterno had died. The Press sent out text alerts and tweeted the news — based on a report from CBS Sports — before a Paterno family spokesman said the reports of his death were false. When the correction came after the initial reports, a story with the family denying Paterno's death was posted on our website. Paterno, who has lung cancer, was in serious condition tonight, his family said.

CORRECTION: The initial headline in this engagement announcement said "Beverly Combe engaged to Stephen Ehlers." Combe is the mother of the bride-to-be, Stacey Ehlers, and Stephen Ehlers is the father of the bride-to-be. The correct headline should be: "Stacey Ehlers engaged to Adam Lyke."

And while the bride-to-be found the mistake funny and memorable, we deeply apologize for the error. The headline has been corrected online and the announcement will run again in the print edition of the paper.

CORRECTION: The email address for Catales has been corrected to info@catales.org in this story about the organization seeking donations to help pay for medical bills after treating a sick cat. The organization would also like to clarify that the $25,000 in bills are from treatments of several cats, not just Sydney, the recent cat the story is about.

CORRECTION: William McKenna's title has been corrected in this story about the Arrigoni Bridge construction to acting police chief instead of deputy police chief, which was incorrect.

An article Monday explaining the change in the opening hours for East Hampton Town Hall on Tuesdays incorrectly said half-year town taxes are due and payable in September. They are due in August.

While expressing concern about the shortening of evening hours, Councilor Ted Hintz Jr. did not say what month the taxes were due.
