In the article “New sign welcomes visitors to Middlefield”  it incorrectly said that the New England Carvers hand-carved the new sign. The company’s name is New England Sign Carvers.

Due to a production error with a new content management system, the date of the print edition of today's Middletown Press showed up as Tuesday, May 29, 2012. We are working on resolving this problem.

The address for Anita Marie Ackerman has been corrected from 12 Billow Road, Old Saybrook, to 80 Middletown Ave., East Hampton, in the police blotter for July 9 after East Hampton police issued a correction.

In the Q&A section of the print edition of The Middletown Press in the July 2 edition, Susan Patricia Riley was listed as a guidance secretary at Woodrow Wilson Middle School. The photo is from last year, and Riley has since retired from that position.

In The Middletown Press fireworks listings, it incorrectly said Westbrook’s fireworks at Water’s Edge were being held on “Monday, July 3.” The fireworks will be held Monday, July 2.
