Statistic incorrect in story on homelessness in Connecticut's student population

In a previous version of Connecticut struggles to identify homeless students; New Haven tally doubled since '08  and in the Sunday, Aug. 25print edition, an incorrect statistic was cited stating that the Partnership for Strong Communities estimates roughly 13,000 homeless youth in the state.  The group said it cannot give an accurate estimate of homeless students in Connecticut, but that it believes the number to be much higher than what the school reports show.

An earlier version of the article "Consignment shop opens on Highland Avenue in Middletown" said Debbie Avila was a nurse at Middlesex Hospital. She worked in central distribution, not as a nurse.

Caribbean Carnival is Saturday, not Sunday

The headline of the article "Caribbean Carnival in Middletown set for Saturday at Harbor Park" incorrectly stated that the carnival is Sunday. The carnival is actually Saturday and this has been corrected.

The email address for Virginia Marino Negrelli was listed incorrectly in an earlier version of the article "All-class reunion scheduled for St. Sebastian alumni." The correct email is Vnegrelli99@gmail.com.

Wrong name for AAA manager

Steve Rourke, manager of administration for AAA driving school, was incorrectly identified as "John Rourke" in an earlier version of the article "AAA Survey: Teens delay getting driver's licenses."
