The story, “Holiday on Main parade, tree-lightings launch festive season,” which appeared in the Nov. 23 paper has been updated to reflect the correct spelling of Gov. Dannel P. Malloy.

The story, “Firefighter suing department, truck driver,” which ran in the Nov. 5 paper, should have indicated that the suit was withdrawn on Oct. 20.

The story published Nov. 5, “Putting Middletown first,” failed to include Common Councilman and Deputy Mayor Robert Santangelo’s vote total: 4,834. Councilman Carl Chisem’s last name was spelled incorrectly. According to the town clerk, “if Linda Salafia vacates one of the offices to which she was elected, the next highest vote-getter does not assume the seat. I declare a vacancy in the office that was vacated and the common council votes on the replacement.”

The story on page 1 ON Nov. 14, “Girl gathering toys for needy kids,” should have indicated that the East Haven drop-off point for toys is at the Irish-American Club.
